Well folks, here it is. For those of you joining late here on my invisible blog, I make a compilation of tunes every season. I pick em and pack em together with no real glue, no mixing, no unifying genre, nothing too fancy. Just music I dig. Shit I’m listening to real heavy at the present moment, shit I rediscover for one reason or another, and shit that reminds me of seasons past.
I love summer. Spring is cool too. And well, let’s not talk about winter. But fall is my favorite time of year. It’s a curse that it is so short and that we all bitch a lot toward the end cause we know what’s coming.. I tend to get a little nostalgic right around now, so past mixes have seemed quiet or somber. I think this sticks to that trend but with a little more verve.
I hope you can easily download the mix from the Box.net widget on the right margin of this blog and unpack it using winrar or a similar program. I am looking into another easier way to share these for next year. But until then, please let me know if you have any questions and I will try to help you or even send you a hard copy. Track listing is as follows:
So here’s some summer fun theme music just in time for solstice! A little late if you ask me. My apologies to my 2 loyal listeners.. From beach-cruisin’, to boots-knockin’, to rip-roarin’, there’s plenty that says summer time in here. Some usual suspects with new releases, some old school shit, and some summer rockers to get you movin’, all in all, just a lot of fun!
I’ve put the mix up on the site for your downloading pleasure. You should see a box in the left column that says Summermix 08 on it. It contains 3 archives, click to download each one. A dialog box will open, select Save to Disk. After you have saved all three, just unzip and extract the info by right-clicking on one of them and selecting the unzip option in the dropdown menu. The files will unpack leaving you the folder containing the tunes listed below. It should be that easy. If you have any problems, lemme know. (more…)
And with it a new compilation of tunes to aid your winter blahs and hopefully warm you up a little. Just some relaxin at home, starin out the window cause it’s too cold to go outside, havin someone special over to warm your bunk at camp type tunes that I hope can set the mood, liven your commute, or push you through your cold morning jog. (more…)
And with it a new compilation of tunes to help you get through that long drive into winter. Not a mix with any blending skills to flex or obscure, ultra-rare, only released overseas b-sides to show off, just some shit I been diggin on now and in past falls back in the day. A little mood music. Something to take the edge off. Or to get your freak ON.. Whatever you use it for, it’s all good. Just don’t use it all baby, awww shit. Wow I’m retarded.
